20 Biblical Affirmations To Boost Your Christ-Esteem

I think as Christians our self-esteem is replaced by our Christ-esteem. Who we are in the flesh doesn’t matter anymore – who we are in Christ is all that truly matters and brings us that peace and understanding we can only get by embracing our new TRUE identity. If you are ever in doubt of who you really are, refresh your memory with these scriptures and biblically based affirmations. Who you are in Christ is all that truly matters and reflecting often on the matter helps us to stay joyful, optimistic and focused.

I will share these in 5 sets of 20 Biblical Affirmations To Boost Your Christ-Esteem over the next few weeks. Meditate on these until you memorize them.

I am blameless and free from accusation. (Colossians 1:22 “In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:”)

Christ Himself is in me. (Colossians 1:27  To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:)

I am firmly rooted in Christ and am now being built up in Him. (Colossians 2:7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.)

I have been made complete in Christ. (Colossians 2:10  And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:)

I have been spiritually circumcised. My old unregenerate nature has been removed.(Colossians 2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:)

I have been buried, raised, and made alive with Christ. (Colossians 2:12,13 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;)

I died with Christ and I have been raised up with Christ. My life is now hidden with Christ in God. Christ is now my life.(Colossians 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.)

I am an expression of the life of Christ because He is my life. (Colossians 3:4When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.)

I am chosen of God, holy and dearly loved. (Col. 3:12; Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 1 Thessalonians 1:4 Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.)

I am a son of light and not of darkness. (1 Thessalonians 5:5  Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.)

I have been given a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline. (2 Timothy 1:7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.)

I have been saved and set apart according to God’s doing. (2 Timothy 1:9; Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, Titus 3:5  Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; )

Because I am sanctified and am one with the Sanctifier, He is not ashamed to call me brother(Hebrews 2:11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,)

I am a holy partaker of a heavenly calling. (Hebrews 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;)

I have the right to come boldly before the throne of God to find mercy and grace in a time of need. (Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.)

I have been born again. (1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.)

I am one of God’s living stones, being built up in Christ as a spiritual house. (1 Peter 2:5  Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.)

I am a member of a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a People for God’s own possession. (1 Peter 2:9,10 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.)

I am an alien and stranger to this world in which I temporarily live. (1 Peter 2:11  Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;)

I am an enemy of the devil. (1 Peter 5:8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.)
