Our new identity is in Christ, our old self has died away, and we are given a fresh Christ-Esteem. The following scriptures affirm your new identity. I hope these encouraging words from The Bible lift you up as they remind you of who you truly are today!

I have been sanctified and called to holiness.
1 Corinthians 1:2 “Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon.”

I have been given grace in Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 1:4 ” I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;”

I have been placed into Christ, by God’s doing. 1 Corinthians 1:30 ” But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:”

I have received the Spirit of God into my life that I might know the things feely given to me by God. 1 Corinthians 2:12 “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.”

I have been given the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16 “For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.”

I am a temple…a dwelling place…of God. His Spirit and His life dwell in me. 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19 “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” – “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”

I am united to the Lord and am one spirit with Him. 1 Corinthians 6:17 “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.”

I am bought with a price; I am not my own; I belong to God. 1 Corinthians 6:19,20; 7:23 “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” – “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” – ” Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.”

I am called. 1 Corinthians 7:17 ” But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.”

I am a member of Christ’s Body. 1 Corinthians 12:27 ” Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.” Ephesians 5:30 ” For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.”

I am victorious through Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57 “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

I have been established, anointed and sealed by God in Christ, and I have been given to the Holy Spirit as a pledge guaranteeing my inheritance to come. 2 Corinthians 1:21 “For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.” Ephesians 1:13,14 “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.”

I am led by God in triumphal procession. 2 Corinthians 2:14 “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.”

I am being changed into the likeness of Christ. 2 Corinthians 3:18 ” But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

Since I have died, I no longer live for myself, but for Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:14,15 “For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead; And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.”

I have been made righteous. 2 Corinthians 5:21 “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

I have faith. Romans 12:3 “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”
