Matthew 6:9-13
After this manner therefore pray:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.
Amen.
This prayer given by our Lord warms my heart every time I recite it. It is simple, yet covers all the complexities of a walk with Christ. Recognizing the power & glory of God and our need to submit to Gods perfect will as did Christ. The need for us to forgive as we are also in need of forgiveness. To lead us away from the temptations of the world and to protect us from the evil one. I love this prayer. I hope it warms your heart as if does mine.
