I have mentioned before that I love to garden, as not only a past time, but also a source of food for my family. This year I chose a round variety of zucchini that is proving to be a prolific producer. We have now made several dishes using this variety of zucchini as the base. Blueberry Zucchini Bread, Fried Zucchini Cakes (A SavoryDish), & Banana Zucchini Bread.
Zucchini reminds me of the way the sound Biblical Doctrine has been “fixed” in a variety of new ways. Jesus, like the zucchini, is added to different recipes that suit the persons personal pallet for religious seasoning. Instead of seeking truth, people seek a Gospel that fits their beliefs instead of conforming their beliefs to the One True Gospel. Strong, firm, foundational doctrine is ever so important. Knowing what the Bible actually says is so important.
I have personally witnessed the boom of the Information Age in my lifetime. I am 41. There are many advantages to information being at our fingertips, but I am witnessing a blasphemous tweaking of the doctrine of our Lord Jesus Christ at light speed. As a Christian make sure you know the truth, not just “what feels right to you”. There is a wise saying that says; there is your side, their side, and then there is the truth. Which means the truth is truth regardless of our perception of it.
We must earnestly seek out the truth. The truth that was before we ever were. Because the truth does not exist on a personal individual interpretation of it, if that were so, there would be no truth without our existence. Truth is truth, even without yours or mines validation. Seek truth. Not just what we would like to be truth with a little bit of Jesus sprinkled on top for flavor.

Yes the truth is the truth. We cannot pick and choose what pieces of Scripture suit our personal needs at any given time. I love my Kindle but when it comes to the Bible I prefer my old, battered NIV copy covered in highlighters and notes. It is my Truth.

When you grow Zucchini you are constantly finding new ways to eat it because everyday you get more. Before long my family will be so sick of zucchini…just like they get sick of blackberries when those come on as well 😂😂😂😂 you have no idea how many times I have been really loving a message on YouTube….I follow different Pastors on there…and will have to stop the video and say nope…that’s not right. The itchy ears are out in full effect in 2017 and I have heard blasphemous to downright heresy dripping from the lips of people. Jesus can’t comeback soon enough!!!!
